Marcus A. Bush 1924-1926

Marcus, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Bush passed away at the home of his parents at Swan Lake Friday morning after a four days illness. The little one suffered a severe attack of whooping cough which developed into meningitis of the brain. The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30; Rev. Page of the Presbyterian church preaching the funeral sermon. The body was laid to rest in the East Side cemetery at Estherville. The little one would have been two years old, May 11th, and was a bright winsome little fellow, the pride of his parents and of the elder brothers, Lawrence and Lester, and little sister, Marlyn, who are left to mourn his loss. The sympathy of their many friends is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Bush in their hour of sorrow. The other children of the Bush family are also undergoing an attack of whooping cough. --- John Bush’s brother from Ke—and Mr. Brush’s brother-in-law from Cedar Falls, were here Sunday to attend the funeral of Marcus Bush, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. John Bush, who would have been two years old May 11th. The little son passed away Friday morning after a one weeks’ illness, beginning with whooping cough. Rev. Page conducted the services at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 P.M.
