Mrs. Zella Burrill Dies at 75
Mrs. Zella Eva Burrill, 75, died about 11:45 a.m. Sunday [November 19, 1967] at Holy Family Hospital, from pneumonia. She had been in failing health the past five years.

She was born July 18, 1892, at Meadow Grove, Neb., to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ober. She received her education in the Brewster, Minn., schools.

She was married in March, 1908, to Charles Smith, at Brewster, and he preceded her in death. On Aug. 18, 1934, she married Alfred Burrill at Estherville. He died in 1960.

She had come to Estherville in 1925 and until her marriage to Mr. Burrill worked as a practical nurse in the area.

She was a member of VFW Auxiliary World War I Barracks Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors Lodge, and the Estherville Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Irving (Irene) Lowry, Fort Riley, Kans., Mrs. Elmer (Vera) Osberg, Estherville; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Alfred and Harold Ober, both of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, one son, her parents, two brothers, one sister.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Estherville Christian Church, Rev. Rawlin Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday, when the casket will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 20, 1967)
