Bryan Services Friday
Herbert James Bryan, 85, Estherville, died March 6, 1973, at Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville.

Mr. Bryan was born Nov. 1, 1887, at Reinbeck to Mr. and Mrs. William Bryan. He was educated in Reinbeck schools and as a young man lived in the Reinbeck area, then moved with his parents to a farm in Jack Creek Township, Emmet County. He was married to Mabel Anderson on Dec. 1, 1910, in Armstrong. He spent most of his married life in Emmet County, moving to Estherville in the late 1940’s.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel, Estherville; three sons, Ralph and Wayne, both of Estherville, and Keith of Solon; one daughter, Mrs. Ardyth Miner, Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Jesse Abbott, Omaha, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
