Mabel Bryan Services Thursday in Estherville
Mrs. Mabel Bryan, 81, died Tuesday morning, April 10, 1973, in Rosewood Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherille.

Mrs. Bryan was born Nov. 23, 1891 in High Lake Township, Emmet County, to Christopher and Andrena Johnson Anderson. She attended Armstrong schools and Waldorf College, Forest City.

She was married to Herbert Bryan on Dec. 1, 1910, in Armstrong. They farmed in Jack Creek Township and she has lived in Emmet County most of her life. They moved into Estherville in the late 1940’s and she was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Estherville.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph and Wayne Bryan of Estherville, Keith Bryan of Solon; one daughter, Mrs. Ardyth Miner, Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on March 6, 1973.

Pallbearers for the services will be Dale King, Elvin Stroup, Lowell Morris, Don Iverson, Wesley Anderson and Maxwell Jamison. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Fuenral Home in Estherville until noon Thursday when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 11, 1973)
