Mrs. Clyde Brown Dies; Rites Here
Mrs. Clyde Brown, former area resident, died Saturday at Willmar, Minn., following a long illness. She was 59 years old. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Union Baptist Church, the Rev. G.E. Forssell, of Neodesha, Kan., formerly of Estherville, officiating. Interment will be in East Side cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sternborg-Reese Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services.

Mrs. Elsie Brown was born June 22, 1901, in Graettinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Jared. She was educated in Graettinger schools. On June 11, 1919, she was married to Clyde S. Brown in Estherville. Following the marriage, the couple lived in Estherville and then at Rousseau, Minn., Brainerd, Minn., and from there to their present home in Willmar. In Estherville Mr. Brown operated a tire shop.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. John (Betty) Gustafson, a son, Jack, and two grandchildren, all of Willmar. She was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter.

Pallbearers will be Don Roberts, Cary Haas, Herman Wiese, Joe Tussler, Willard Crim and Louis Obye. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 30, 1961)
