GEORGE W. BOWMAN
G. W. BOWMAN, 78, Dies Life-Long Resident Here
George W. Bowman, 78, died at midnight last night at his home, 722 N. 10th St., where he has been living with his daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Hellen J. Bowman) Moore and family.

Mr. Bowman had been in failing health for some time but his death was unexpected. He had not been confined to bed and had seemed to be in fairly good hearth. Mr. Bowman was born in Nov 1865 in Boone, Ia., and was brought to Estherville by his family while still an infant.

He followed the butcher trade here most of his life, retiring 10 years ago.

He was married October 15, 1890 to Lydia A. Lawrence at Elkton, S. D.

He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Modern Woodman lodge.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Hellen J. Bowman) Moore, and Mrs. Claude (Metta E. Bowman) Randolph of Estherville, and one son, Lawrence H.(Verna) Bowman of Bennett, Wisc. and several grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be made when Lawrence Bowman arrives tomorrow.
