Estherville – Mrs. Marie Boone, 85, Estherville, died Sunday night at Good Samaritan Center, Estherville. Services for Mrs. Boone are pending at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 13, 1977)

Estherville – Services for Marie Helen Boone, 85, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Estherville Christian Church. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Wednesday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mrs. Boone died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville. She was born Aug. 17, 1891, at Cylinder, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Bensen.

She was married to Lloyd N. Boone Jan. 8, 1913, at Spirit Lake. The couple farmed for a few years in the Wallingford area before the late Mr. Boone opened a jewelry store in Estherville.

Mrs. Boone was a member of the Christian Church, Gold Star Mothers, VFW Auxiliary, and Service Star Legion.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Lora Belle) Beaver, Estherville, and Mrs. Oscar (Jean) Myhre, Jr., Estherville; three sons, Lloyd N. Boone Jr., Estherville; Ralph Boone, Winnebago, Minn., and Warren Boone, Green Bay, Wisc.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Alice Mallond, Minneapolis, Minn.; and one brother, Carl Bensen, Wilmont, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, four brothers and one son. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 14, 1977)
