Estherville – William J. Ballah, 76, South St. Paul, Minn., and formerly of Terril, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 1977, at the Devine Redeemer Memorial Hospital, South St. Paul.

Services for Mrs. [Mr.] Ballah will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fuhrman Funeral Home until time of services Wednesday.

Mr. Ballah was born Dec. 31, 1900, at Rossville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ballah. He was married to Anna Peterson at Spencer, July 11, 1929.

The couple farmed in the Terril area until 1940, then moved to South St. Paul, where he was employed at the Swift Packing Plant until retiring in 1962.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Dennis, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Louise Wauthier, Lafayette, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 6, 1977)
