Nelson Andrews, 75, who was the son of Edward Andrews, early day butcher in Waterloo, died last night at his home in Gruver, Ia., relatives here were informed today. He was ill the past six months. Surviving are four sons, Harry, Arthur, and Norman, Gruver, and John, Minneapolis. A half-brother, Edward C. Andrews, resides at 615 Washington street, and E. F. Carey, 1301 Forest avenue, is a brother-in-law. His wife died Feb. 14 last.The Andrews family home in the early days stood at the corner of Fifth and Jefferson streets, the site of a business block and oil station.

Nelson Andrews, Gruver Resident, Dies In Hospital
Lived in Emmet County 40 Years
Gruver, Oct. 25. – Nelson A. Andrews died at an Estherville hospital Wednesday, Oct. 19, after a long illness. Mr. Andrews had been a resident of this community for 40 years. Mrs. Andrews died last February. Four sons, John of Minneapolis, Harry, Norman and Arthur Andrews are left to mourn his loss. Mr. Andrews was a charter member of the Presbyterian church of Gruver. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. and M.W.A. for a number of years. He became a member of the Beth Eden Rebekah lodge of Gruver last March. He was the first member of the lodge to pass away in this community. Mr. Andrews was in business in Gruver for a number of years where he will be greatly missed by his friends. Funeral services were held in the church last Friday afternoon with Rev. Page in charge. Burial was at the Eastside Cemetery at Estherville with the Odd Fellows in charge.
