Mrs. Gus Anderson Dies At 76
Mrs. Gus (Clara Bell) Anderson, 76, longtime Emmet County resident, died at 4:45 a.m. today at Holy Family hospital. Mrs. Anderson was admitted yesterday for surgery but had been in failing health for a year and a half.

She was born Feb. 25, 1886 in Benton County, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gray. Mrs. Anderson has lived in Emmet County since 1908.

She was married on Dec. 4, 1929 to Gus Anderson at Fairmont.

Mrs. Anderson is a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Edith) Blair of New Virginia; two sons, W. W. (Mike) Levell of Spirit Lake and L. L. (Lum) Levell of Estherville, nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Clarence Gray of Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 22, 1962)
