Mrs. Oley Anderson is Dead
Mrs. Oley (Clara) Anderson, life-long resident of Estherville, died yesterday at 5 p.m. at her home after a lingering illness. Mrs. Anderson underwent surgery in December and returned to her home for a time but was hospitalized again and returned home about two weeks ago.She was born Aug. 10, 1896, in Estherville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ellis and received her education in the Estherville schools.
On Aug. 10, 1919, she was united in marriage to Oley Anderson and the couple has resided in Estherville since.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Christian church. Other organizations of which she was a member are Rebekahs, Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Past Noble Grands.
She is survived by her husband and one sister, Mrs. Merle Peterson of Fairmont, Minn.
Funeral services will be held Monday. A family service at Sternborg’s Funeral Chapel will take place at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m. services will be held at the Christian church, the Rev. Lester Strubhar officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 3, 1956)
