Rites Here On Thursday
Funeral services for Bernard Amundson, 78, who died yesterday morning at the Bascomb Nursing Home in Nora Springs from infirmities of advanced age, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Reese Funeral Home, Rev. Roy Hendrickson officiating.

Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today until time of services tomorrow.

Mr. Amundson was born Feb. 1, 1888 [per cemetery records, Mar 1, 1888], in Norway and came to the United States with his parents as a boy.

He lived in Estherville for many years, where he worked as a carpenter and a feed salesman. His last years in Estherville were spent at the Balmer Nursing Home.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mr. Amundson is survived by his widow, Bertha, of Minneapolis; one son, Alan, of Decorah; one daughter, Mrs. Lester Ochler of Minneapolis, and two other children.
