Former Resident of Superior Died Thursday at Estherville
This community was saddened at the death of J. A. Bringle, 80, [date of birth, October 8, 1864] who passed away Thursday evening, at his home at Estherville, at 5:30, following a heart attack.

Mr. Bringle had been failing in health since the Christmas season.

Funeral services were held at two o’clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Lutheran church. Burial was at State Line cemetery.

Mr. Bringle, who was a member of the Estherville church, came to the United States from Norway and had lived near Superior and Estherville for the past 65 years. He retired from farm work, which he had followed most of his life, last October, and has been living in Estherville.

Four children preceded him in death, Maurice, Elmer, Maragaret, and an infant child. Those left to mourn his loss are his widow [Belle Herbranson Bringle], five sons, Arthur, Elvin Lubie and Clair, all of Estherville and the Rev. Albert Bringle of Randall, and one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Riley of Van Nuys, Calif., also 15 grandchildren. (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, May 10, 1945)
