Miss Josephine Waldron Passed Away Tuesday
Daughter of J. J. Waldron, a Graduate of Our High School and a Life Long Resident Here
Death came Tuesday [December 18, 1928] noon to Josephine Patricia Waldron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Waldron. Josephine, as she was known to everyone, has been ill for sometime past. She was afflicted with rheumatism and this had made her condition weakened to an extent she had but little resistance when other complications set in. She has made a great fight for existence and at times it looked like she would survive.

Josephine was born February 14, 1907, in the same room she passed away in yesterday. She was a graduate of our High School in ’26. We have had the pleasure of her acquaintance for a long time and she was a little lady of pleasing ways; loved by all who knew her; was attentive to any duties she had to perform and always cheerful.

The funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at St. Patrick’s church at nine o’clock, the Rev. Veit officiating. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery south of this city. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, December 19, 1928)

Josephine Waldron, 21 years old, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Waldron, passed away at her home Tuesday afternoon at twelve thirty of double pneumonia. She had been ill for eleven weeks of a complication of diseases resulting from rheumatism and daily hundreds of friends had anxiously awaited for the report of her condition and now mourn with the family in her untimely passing.

Josephine was born on Feb. 14, 1907 in Estherville and completed the work of the local school with the class of ’26. Since then she had been employed in the Dawson Variety store and when taken ill was cashier in the new Woolworth store.

Besides her parents, five brothers and two sisters mourn her passing, John of Omaha, Neb., Charles, Pete, Leonard, Robert, Mary and Margaret all of this city.

Funeral services will be held from St. Patrick’s church Thursday morning at nine thirty. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 19, 1928)
