Edward Walsh Died At State Hospital, Cherokee
After an illness of many years Edward Walsh passed away at the state hospital in Cherokee Saturday afternoon. When a young lad he contracted a serious case of fever which left its mark and necessitated his being taken to the state hospital at Cherokee for treatment. Everything possible was done for his good but it proved useless and death finally claimed him as its victim. He was the twenty year old son of Mrs. Edward Walsh, of near Superior. The body was brought back to this city and funeral services were held at St. Patrick’s church Tuesday morning. Father Conway said requiem high mass. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery south of Estherville. The many friends of the bereaved mother and relatives will extend their sympathy to them in their hours of sorrow.
