Girl’s Rites Held Today
Jodi Ellen Rhen, two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Rhen, formerly of Estherville, died Sunday [January 1, 1967] at the Spencer Municipal Hospital. Cause of death has not been determined.

Mr. and Mrs. Rhen and their three children were spending the holiday with friends in Spencer. They moved to Omaha eight months ago.

Jodi Ellen was born Sept. 14, 1964 [per cemetery records, 1965], at Estherville.

She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Scott, 6, and Patrick, 4; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Rhen of Estherville; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Reuland of Superior.

Mass was said this morning at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Msgr. James Duhigg officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dale Boetel, Harvey Hansen, Maurice Boggess, and Lewis Corwin.
