Military Funeral Held for Reynolds
Military services were conducted at St. Patrick church today by the Maurice Doyle Post of the American Legion for Ona Douglas Reynolds, who died Monday [August 8, 1927] of heart disease. He was overseas ten months with the second division.Reynolds was born Aug. 12, 1892, at Rose Hill, Ill. He entered the service on July 21, 1917, and was married on Nov. 25, 1917. He leaves a wife and four children. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, August 10, 1927)
O. D. Reynolds residing on north Fifth street passed away at his home on Monday of this week. He has been in a critical condition for some time past and died from the effects of dropsy. He was thirty-four years of age at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and four children. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church this morning, the Rev. Conway officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery south of this city. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 10, 1927)
