Funeral Rites For John Pluth to Be Monday
Funeral services for John Pluth, 64, who died yesterday after a heart attack, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday with a requiem high mass at St. Patrick’s church, Estherville. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery, Estherville.The body will be at the Sternborg funeral home until noon Sunday when it will be moved to the family home. The Rosary will be recited at the home at 8 p.m. Sunday.
Pluth had been an Emmet county farmer for the past 36 years. At the time of his death he had a farm four miles northeast of Estherville.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Leonard, Urban and Romaine, Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Spoo, Estherville, and Mrs. Bernard Wempe, Terril; one brother, Martin, Early, Ia.; 12 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 15, 1949)
