Rites Today For Mrs. Dollie Quinn
Funeral services were held this morning, Jan. 12, 1972, for Mrs. Dollie Mae Quinn, 92, who died at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 10 from the infirmities of age.

Mrs. Quinn was born Aug. 26, 1879, near Langdon in Clay county, the daughter of James and Ellen Jackson.

She received here education in the rural schools of Clay county. She was married to Lewis Sheldon on Jan. 10, 1900, and he died March 24, 1916. In September of 1920 she married William Quinn of Spencer. Mrs. Quinn has lived in Estherville since 1916. At the time of her death she was living at the Mary Tracy home, 1205 2nd Ave. S.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Leslie Sheldon, Superior; Mrs. Esther Lynch, Superior; two step-daughters, Mrs. Opal Pearson of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Zelma Besecker of Withee, Wis.; eight grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Monsignor James H. Duhigg presiding. Burial was in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Reese-Henry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 12, 1972)
