Mrs. Henry Long Died This Morning
Sick Several Months
Mrs. Henry Long, one of the highly respected ladies of this city passed away at the family home this morning at half past ten. Mrs. Long had been in poor health for several months and but recently had undergone an operation in the hopes of prolonging her life. She is survived by her husband, five daughters and one son. At the time of going to press funeral arrangements have not been made. Complete obituary will be given next week. Funeral Was Held From the Catholic Church – Burial in Catholic Cemetery
Josephine Bender was born in Eppenbrun, Germany, April 7, 1860, and died in her home in Estherville January 5, 1921. In 1885 she came to this country and on May 19, 1887, she was married at Paw Paw, Michigan to Henry Long. They live at Fruitport and Shelby, Michigan, until the fall of 1906, when the family moved to Lismore, Minnesota. In 1907 they came to Estherville where they have since remained. Her death is mourned by her husband and six children, Mr. Louis Rodenhorn of Fort Dodge, Mrs. W. H. Bryan of Guthrie Center, Henry, Lena, Beth and Francis, all of this city.The funeral was held from the Catholic church Friday morning and interment in the Catholic cemetery.
