Estherville Man’s Rites on Friday
Estherville – Funeral services for Justin Kibbie, 64, Estherville, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Laurence Burns officiating and burial in the church cemetery. Military rites will be held at the graveside. [Died January 14, 1975]

Mr. Kibbie was born Sept. 23, 1909 in Palo Alto County to Joseph and Margaret Kibbie and he received his education in the Emmetsburg schools. On May 14, 1949 he was married to Anna Burkart at Jackson, Minn. They moved to Estherville and he was employed by John Morrell’s from 1956 to 1970.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, David, Des Moines; Leonard, Estherville; and Larry, stationed with the Marines in San Diego; two daughters, Rose and Alice at home; two grandchildren; one brother, John, Emmetsburg; and three sisters, Margaret Kibbie, Mrs. George (Ethel) Hageman and Mrs. Florence Rossiter, all of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home from noon Thursday until time of services Friday. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 15, 1975)
