Estherville – Funeral services for Mrs. Cletus Keogh, 78, longtime Estherville resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Estherville, with Father A. O. Grendler officiating and burial at the church cemetery. She died Tuesday [October 7, 1975] night in a hospital in Maysville, Mo.Mrs. Keogh was born Mary Loretta on Feb. 10, 1903 [1897] in Spirit Lake to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Doyle and moved to Estherville at an early age. She attended Estherville schools and on Feb. 4, 1920 was married to Cletus L. Keogh in Estherville. They lived in Minneapolis, Minn., and Estherville where he was employed as a railroad conductor. The Keoghs celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1970 and on Feb. 9, 1972 Mr. Keogh died. Mrs. Keogh had lived in Stewartsville, Mo., the last two years.
Survivors include one son, Robert, Albert Lea; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mary Jean) Thiel, Stewartsville, Mo., and Mrs. James (Collene) A. Rankin of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Patricia Keogh, Rochester, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, one grandson, her parents, one brother and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, where a rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 10, 1975)
