Alma Marr Johnson 1914-2007

Alma (Marr) Johnson, the daughter of Harley and Margaret (Buskke) Marr, was born December 9, 1914, in Milford, Iowa. She passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 92 years.

She attended school in Milford and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1932.

In 1936, Alma was united in marriage to Inird "Heinie" Johnson in Estherville. The couple made their home in Estherville and Alma was employed for many years at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. Johnson died February 27, 1980.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughter's of America.

Left to cherish Alma's memory are her son, Merle "Bub's" Johnson and his wife, Janie of Spirit Lake, Iowa; her grandchildren, Doug Johnson and his wife, Jodi of Spirit Lake; Steve Johnson and his wife, Dawn of Bucyrus, Kansas; Lisa Connelly and her husband, Frank of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; and seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Kelly, Michelle, Caylie, Collin and Bobby.

Preceding Alma in death were her husband; parents; one brother’s; and two sisters.
