Walt Feger Rites Set Thursday
Walter Edward Feger, 58, died suddenly about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 1972. He suffered a heart seizure while in the field at his son’s farm about two miles from home.Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church with burial following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at Fuhrman Funeral Home Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Mr. Feger was born Dec. 16, 1913, at New Berlin, Ill., to Mr. and Mrs. Simon Feger. He came with his family as a youngster to Emmet County and attended Emmet Consolidated school and high school. He farmed all his life in Emmet County.
He was married Sept. 19, 1940, to Lois Stark in Estherville. He served on the ASCD Committee and was president of Emmet Consolidate School Board for several years. He was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Parish of Estherville.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Ronald Feger, Estherville, one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Sundall, Estherville; five grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Carl of rural Spirit Lake, Mrs. W. W. Levell, rural Spirit Lake, and Olive Van Cura, Eau Claire, Wis.
Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home at any time Wednesday and until time of services Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 7, 1972)
