Joseph Feger, 49, of Estherville, passed away Thursday [December 15, 1938] afternoon at the University hospital in Iowa City. He had been ill for some time, being a patient here in the Coleman hospital before he was taken to the hospital in Iowa City a month ago.

He is survived by his widow; two children, Harold, 14, and Joan, 16, his mother, Mrs. Simon Feger; and six brothers, Walter, Henry, John, Carl and Frank all of Estherville; two sisters, Mrs. W. R. Levell of Spirit Lake and Mrs. George VanCura of Eau Claire, Wis.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the St. Patrick’s Catholic church with the Rev. J. J. Keane officiating.

Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.

Henry, Carl and Frank Feger, Joseph Chapman, Henry Neppl and Raymond Moore will be pallbearers. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, December 20, 1938)
