Estherville Man’s Services Held Today
Estherville – Funeral services for Everett E. Davis, 71, Estherville, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. James Duhigg and Father Laurence Burns officiating and burial in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. He had passed away Friday at Holy Family Hospital.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 5, 1905 in Calhoun County to Edward and Lula Martin Davis and received his education in Calhoun County schools. He was married to Eunice Swale Feb. 24, 1927 at Estherville and they had farmed in Dickinson County until they moved into Estherville seven years ago. He had been a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, William A., Worthington, Minn.; Robert F.; Des Moines; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eva Simpson, Estherville.

Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers.

The rosary was said at 8 p.m. Saturday at Henry Funeral Chapel. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1974)
