Lawrence M. Olson Dies
A lifetime resident of Emmet County, Lawrence Marion Olson, 61, died of cancer Saturday night at Veterans Hospital, Sioux Falls. He had been seriously ill for the past three months.

Olson, a bachelor, was long employed by the Estherville Laundry and also worked for contractors here. He moved from Estherville to Armstrong in 1954.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Lutheran Church.

Olson was born in March, 1901 on a farm near Eagle Lake. He attended rural Emmet County schools.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Olson, and one brother preceded him in death. A brother Howard, of Canton, S.D., is the sole survivor.

The Rev. L. A. Mathre will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
