More Than Four Score
Mrs. Sivert [Isabaella] Olson died last Thursday [September 1, 1904] at the home of Mrs. O. S. Olson, after a short illness of heart disease and dropsy, at the age of 86 years. The funeral was held from the house at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. T. C. Thompson of the Lutheran church. The deceased was a woman of exceptional qualities, beloved by all who knew her. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, September 7, 1904)

Mrs. Severt Olson died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. O. S. Olson, on south Tenth street, Thursday evening at six o’clock, aged eighty-six years. Her death was caused from old age. She had been a resident of Emmet county for several years, moving here from Ruthven. She was a devoted Christian lady and had been a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church for nearly forty years. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church Saturday afternoon and the remains deposited in the Oak Hill Cemetery. An aged husband and several grandchildren are left to mourn her death.
