Warren W. Heyer Dies of Heart Attack
The third in a series of heart attacks proved fatal yesterday to Warren William Hyer, 64, of Huntington.

He was first stricken June 8, a second time June 27 and again Saturday, when he was admitted to Holy Family Hospital. He died there at 11:10 a.m. Sunday.

Mr. Hyer had farmed and done custom farm work all his life. He was a member of the Ellsworth Township school board for a number of years and was a trustee of the Huntington Methodist Church at the time of his death.

He was born Jan. 21, 1898, at Pleasantville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Hyer. He moved with his parents to the Maple Hill area in 1904 and received all his formal education in rural Emmet County schools.

Mr. Hyer moved to a farm near Huntington in 1911 and to the town of Huntington in 1932. He was married to Blanche Kirchner, who survives, at the Methodist parsonage in Estherville, Dec. 23, 1920.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Irene) Neppl and Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Neppl, both of rural Estherville; seven grandsons, two granddaughters; four brothers, Ernest and Earl of Estherville and Paul and Ray of Huntington; and one sister, Mrs. Lee Shultz of near Gruver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

The Rev. Fred Ortmeyer will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oake [Oak] Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sternborg Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 10 o’clock Wednesday. The casket will not be opened following the service. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 16, 1962)
