Henry G. Jones
Henry G. Jones died at his home on North Fifth street last Sunday morning at about 3 o’clock of paralysis. Death came very sudden and there were none present when the end came. Mr. Jones has been suffering with strong symptoms of paralysis [August 3, 1902] for the past four months.

The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church Monday at 3 o’clock p.m., Rev. W. E. McLeod officiating. Burial took place in Oak Hill cemetery.

Henry G. Jones was born in New York, March 17, 1842. When Henry was six years old his parents moved west and ultimately to Winnebago county. He followed from early manhood the occupation of a painter.

Mr. Jones and Mrs. Ellen [Ellen A. Perry] Coffee [Coffey] were united in marriage and shortly afterwards, about nineteen years ago, moved to Estherville, where they have since resided.

Henry found it difficult in later years to make both ends meet, having many financial reverses. He lost one limb in early life and was considerably handicapped.

Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jones.

The Enterprise joins in sympathy to the widow and children. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, August 6, 1902)
