Estherville-Funeral services for Elenora Hansen, 85, of Estherville, will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville on Tuesday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will follow at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Elenora died on Friday, April 27, 2001 at Rosewood Manor in Estherville.

Anna Elenors Madsen was born on July 3, 1915 in Ringsted, the daughter of Hans and Nicoline (Jensen) Madsen.

Elenora attended Sunnyside Country School and graduated from Ringsted High School.

On November 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Einar Hansen at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ringsted. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Ringsted, Dolliver and Gruver. Einar died on November 8, 1966. Elenora moved to Estherville in 1970. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, embroidering and playing cards.

Elenora was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church, WELCA and a former member of the Midway Country Club.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Hansen and wife Rose of Estherville; three daughters, Evonne Cook and husband, John of Estherville, Elaine Jacobsen of Estherville and Francine Bergeson and husband Larry of Estherville; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Ramhorst of Bozeman, Mont.

Elenora has been preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jan Dean; her parents; four brothers and four sisters.
