Estherville – Mrs. Vivian Heyer, 74, Estherville, died Tuesday [November 23, 1976] at the University of Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with the Rev. Harvey Throop officiating and burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services Saturday.

Mrs. Heyer was born April 4, 1902 to Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Slee and was educated in Hampton where she graduated from high school in 1920. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, and taught in public schools in Belle Plaine and Estherville.

She was married to Lester “Hap” Heyer Oct. 17, 1928 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and they lived in the Estherville area many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Estherville, Order of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ron (Nadine) Orluske, Burnsville, Minn.; two grandchildren; one stepbrother, Louis Slee, Osage. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two stepbrothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 26, 1976)
