Estherville – Mrs. Willard (Helen) Heyer, 72, Estherville, died at her home in Estherville Tuesday [October 12, 1976] morning. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Harmon of the Christian Church officiating and burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville.

Mrs. Heyer was born Dec. 14, 1903 at Riga, N.D., to Oren and Emily Cleary Platt and moved to Estherville with her parents in 1918. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1923 and was married to Charles E. Miller in Sept., 1937. After his death in 1947, she was married to Willard Heyer, April 30, 1950. Mrs. Heyer had been employed with Dr. George Griffith, an Estherville optometrist, 30 years and had also been employed with Dr. Terry Anderson, optometrist.

Survivors include her husband, Willard, Estherville; two stepsons, Richard, Estherville; and Donald, Norwalk; six step grandchildren; one brother, Dr. D. W. Plattt, Albert Lea, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Henry (Flossie) Miller, Graettinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one brother and one sister.
