A number from this vicinity attended the funeral of Mrs. Wm. Hyer at the Huntington church on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Hyer, mother of Mrs. Lee Schultz, was found dead in bed by her son, Earl, on arising Saturday [October 17, 1931] morning. Sympathy is extended Mrs. Shultz and family in the loss of their loved ones. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, October 21, 1931)
