William "Willie" J. Hiveley

William "Willie" J. Hiveley, 79, died Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Taylor Hospice House. Services will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, February 10 at Grandview Park Funeral Home. Burial following cremation will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville, Ia.

William was born in Wallingford, IA. He married Dorothy Mae Riggs on September 9, 1944. He worked as a brakeman for Rock Island Railroad in Estherville and as a millwright for John Morrell Company for 27 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Eastgate Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Easton Place United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, growing roses and fishing.

He is suvived by his wife, Judy Hiveley of Des Moines;twin daughters, Shirley (Fred)Spangler of Eagle Grove and Sheryl (William) Mose of Hutchinson, MN; twin daughters, Ruth Altman of Estherville and Rebecca (Dan) Roberts of Seattle, WA;daughter, Karen Kearney of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughters, Tamara Leasure of Charles City, Leanne Leasure of Sumner, Mary (Mark) Holstad of Kensett, and Evelyn Leasure of Clear Lake; stepson, Jeffery (Sara) Leasure of Cortland, OH; brother Carl Hiveley of Amarillo, TX; sister, Wilma Moore of Marengo; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy,;grandson, Trent and great-grandsons, Kyle and Michael.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at Grandview Park Funeral Home.
