Vern Dahna

Estherville-Funeral servides for Vern Dahna,67, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating and burial in the East Side Cemetery. He died Thursday at his home.

Mr. Dahna was born Dec. 2, 1907, in Raleigh to Mr. and Mrs. William Dahna and received his education in the Estherville schools. He was married to Doris Riggs Dec. 6, 1945, at Jackson Minn., and had been employed by the railroad for 47 years until his retirement in 1972.

He had served as secretary treasurer of the Brotherhood of Maintenance and had been a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Janet) Petersen, Marshalltown; Beverly Dahna, Estherville; and Mrs. Steven Lundy, Milwaukee; three sons, Duane, Estherville, William, with the United States Air Force in Stuttgart, Germany; and Vernon Jr., Coralville; six grandchildren; two brothers, Glen and Francis, Estherville; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Brady, Estherville; and Mrs. Tena Bugg, Fort Dodge.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, after 7 p.m. Saturday.
