Estherville-Funeral services for Doris C. Dahna, 78, of Estherville will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct 18 at the United Mathodist Church, Estherville with the Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died on Oct 14, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m., Sunday at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1921 in Estherville, the daughter of Cecil and Lela (Bullis) Riggs. She has lived all her life in Estherville. She received her education in the Estherville schools graduating from Estherville High School in 1939.

On Dec. 6, 1945, she was united in marriage to Vern C. Dahna at Jackson, Minn. The couple lived their entire married life in Estherville. Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed baking and crocheting. Mr. Dahna passed away on Jan. 23, 1975. Doris has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Janet) Petersen of Marshalltown, Ia.; son, Duane Dahna and wife Connie of Estherville; daughters: Mrs. Ron (Beverly) Mathiowetz of Mountain Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Steven (Judy) Lundy of Ames;son, Bill Dahna and wife, Becky of Kingsley; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, twin sons, Ronald and donald; great granddaughter, Noel; parents, brother, Rex Riggs and sisters: Dorothy Hivlely and Alice Haisman.
