Vivian Riggs
Estherville-Services for Mrs. Rex (Vivian)Riggs, 63, will be held Friday afternoon, 2 p.m., at the Christian Church with Dr. James Harmon officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. She died Sunday, Dec. 5, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p. m. Thursday.
Vivian Hiles was born Sept. 27, 1919 at Oran, Ia., the daughter of LeRoy and Minnie (Boling)Hiles. As an infant she moved with her family to Gruver where she attended school; Riggs was a 1938 graduate of the Excelsior High School. On June 12, 1943, she was united in marriage to Rex D. Riggs at Fort Hancock, N. J. After World War II the couple returned to Estherville and lived here until 1966; They moved to Norwalk, Calif. and lived there until retiring in 1978 when they divided their residence between Dolliver and Apache Junction, Ariz.; one son, Kevin, Anaheim, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Allyn (Doreene) Hansen, Dolliver, Mrs. Roger (Kollette) Torres, Austin, Tx., Mrs. David (Denise) Rustige, Norco, Calif.; ten grandchildren; two brothers, John Hiles, Terril and Jake Hiles of Bellflower, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. B. K. (Celia) Ray, Cypress, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
