Died
"Our little boy is gone;
His gladsome voice, whose music lately filled
Our home and hearts, now forever stilled."

This sad experience has come to the home and hearts of Mr. and Mrs. I. Riggs. For one year, two months and twenty days, their little boy. Clarence Arthur, has been the joy of the household. The labor of love bestowed on him was richly repaid by the sunshine and happiness which his presence brought to the home. However, this happiness, like all earthly joys, was fleeting. Early, so early in life, the angels called him up higher.
"Oh not in cruelty, not in wrath.
The reaper came that day;
T'was an angel visited the green earth,
And took the flower away."

After a brief illness, Clarence Arthur Riggs passed from earth to heaven Sept 7th, 1803. Services were conducted by Rev. A. R. Toothacre at the Baptist Church.
