Harry Hansen received the sad news last evening of the death of his little son Dale, who since the death of his mother has been living with the L. W. Clark family in Montana. Mr. Hansen left this morning for St. Paul to meet Mrs. Clark who is accompanying the remains to this city where the funeral services will be held in the M.E. church on Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock. Mr. Hansen returned from Montana only two weeks ago and when he left the boy was in perfect health and the news of his death came as a great shock. Harry Hansen’s Son Died in Montana
Harry F. Hansen, of this city, received a telegram last evening stating that his little son had died in Montana and the body was being brought to this city for burial. Mr. Hansen lost his wife last winter and since that time the baby had been staying with relatives in that state. He had been sick only a week when death came to relieve his suffering. His name was Dale Wadsworth Hansen and he was a year old on the 27th of last February. Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church in this city tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. Hansen has the deepest sympathy of the entire community in the loss of his son. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, September 17, 1919)
