Mrs. Augusta E. Estabrook Dead
Mrs. Augusta E. Estabrook, mother of Mrs. W. A. Ladd, died of paralysis at the home of her daughter, on South Ninth street, Monday morning, Dec. 11, aged 78 years. Funeral was held from the residence at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, and the body buried in Oak Hill cemetery. Rev. Richard Ellerby, of the Episcopal church officiated. The pallbearers were J.J. Klopp, E. J. Sondrol, A. D. Root, C. E. Hobein, E. E. Hartung and A. O. Peterson.

August E. Franklin was born Oct. 12, 1827, at Calerain, Mass. She was married to Royal Gladden Estabrook of Battleboro, Vermont. At an early date they came to Marshalltown, Iowa, where she lived until the death of her husband in 1889. Since then she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Ladd.
