Richard Espeset, 44, Chicago, Dies
Richard Espeset, 44, of Chicago, former Estherville resident, died unexpectedly shortly after midnight this morning. Mr. Espeset died at a Chicago hospital.

He was a son of Mrs. A. R. Espeset of Estherville and Forest city, and also is survived by a brother, A. R. Espeset Jr. of Estherville, and a sister, Mrs. Loyd Handeland of Forest City.

Mr. Espeset had lived in Chicago for about 10 years.

Richard Espeset Services Planned for Saturday
Richard Arnold Espeset, 44, formerly of Estherville, died about 2 a.m. Tuesday at a Chicago hospital. He had been in ill health, but his death was unexpected.

He was born April 28, 1923, at Estherville, to Mr. and Mrs. Arnt Espeset, Sr. He received his education in Estherville schools. He was married in 1946 and later divorced.

He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Geraldine) Schoback, Chicago, and Barbara, Chicago; one brother, Arnt Jr., Estherville. Also two sisters, Mrs. Loyd Handeland, Forest City and Mrs. Robert Loveland, Garwin; his mother, Mrs. A. R. Espeset, Estherville and Forest City. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, Rev. Roy Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Friday until time of services on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 26, 1967)
