Rites Pending for Mrs. I. Ellerston
Funeral arrangements are pending for a lifelong resident of Emmet County at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home.Mrs. Irving (Marguerite) Ellerston, 75,722 N. 10th St., died en route to the airport in Montgomery, Ala., on Jan. 7.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellerston had spent a month’s vacation at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Col. And Mrs. Dale (Maggie) Hansel. Col. Hansel is stationed in the service at Montgomery.
Another survivor is a daughter, Mrs. Wes (Lois) Myers, living at Los Angeles, Calif.

Services Set for Mrs. I. Ellerston
Mrs. Irving (Marguerite) Ellerston, 75, Estherville, died Jan. 7, at 3:15 p.m. at Montgomery, Ala., from a heart attack.She was born March 9, 1895, at Reinbeck, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bryan. She moved with her parents as a young girl to the Estherville community. She was graduated from Estherville High School in 1916. On May 5, 1920, she was married to Irving Ellerston at Estherville. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, the Eastern Star, White Shrine, American Legion Auxiliary and worked with the Red Cross during WWII.
She is survived by her husband, Irving; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Margery Ann) Hansel, Montgomery, Ala., and Mrs. Wesley (Lois) Meyers, Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Roger Ellerston, Cheyenne, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Bryan, Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Jess Abbott, Omaha, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one sister, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, Estherville, with the Father Bryce Hunt officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Greig, Guy Tibbetts, Robert Hammond, William Robinson, Col. G. L. Olney and Robert Owens.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home. The casket will not be opened at the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, January 11, 1971)
