Grant Harold Croner
Estherville – Services for Grant Harold Croner, 80, Estherville, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Union Baptist Church here with the Rev. Fred Glasser officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Services held at the cemetery.

Mr. Croner succumbed Wednesday, March 2, 1977, at Holy Family Hospital.

Born Dec. 6, 1896, at New Richmond, [WI.], the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Croner, Mr. Croner received his education in Wisconsin. He married Mabel Jorgenson June 21, 1921, in Wisconsin and the couple came to Iowa in 1928. They moved to Armstrong in1930 and lived in Estherville since 1936, where he farmed and later was a carpenter.

Mr. Croner was a member of the Union Baptist Church, World War I Barracks, and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by two sons, Howard Croner, Estherville, and John Croner, Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Ellis, Graettinger; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ethelyn Dyson, Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter, one son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, after 10 a.m. Friday until noon Saturday, when the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 3, 1977)
