Mabel Croner, 65, Estherville, Dies; Services Friday
Mrs. Mabel Luella Croner, 65, Estherville, died this morning at 5:15 at her home.She was born Jan. 7, 1904, at Estherville to Mr. and Mrs. Ole Jorgenson. As a child, she moved to Wisconsin, received her education there and was married June 21, 1921, to Grant H. Croner at Star Prairie, Wis.
The couple moved to Estherville in 1927 and have lived here since. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Estherville and the Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Grant; two sons, Howard, Estherville; and John, also of Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Ellis, Graettinger; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Myrl (Mary) Beaver, Estherville.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one son, one daughter, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Union Baptist Church at Estherville, with the Rev. Rawlin Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Frinds may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Thursday until noon on Friday. A memorial fund has been established. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 30, 1969)
