Youth Dies After Short Illness
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, for Ralph Edward Croner, 14, who died Thursday [January 25, 1940] evening after a few days illness from pneumonia. The services were held in the Sternborg funeral chapel with Rev. C. E. Forrsell in charge. Burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery.Ralph Edward Croner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Croner, was born April 17, 1925, at New Richmond, Wis. A few years ago his parents moved to Estherville where they have since made their home.
Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Gertrude and Ruth and two brothers, Howard and John. (Vindicator & Republican, Estherville, IA, January 30, 1940)

Ralph Edward Croner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Croner, 14, of 702 South 10th St., Estherville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, following an attack of pneumonia.Mr. Croner was born in New Richmond, Wis., April 17, 1925.
Funeral services were held at the Sternborg funeral home Monday with the Rev. Forssell officiating. Burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery.
He leaves to mourn his death his parents, two sisters, Gertrude and Ruth, and two brothers, Howard and John. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, February 1, 1940)
