Rites Today for Mrs. Laura Brubaker, 87
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at Fuhrman Funeral Home for Mrs. Laura Brubaker, 87, who died Friday at Good Samaritan Center from complications of advanced age.Rev. Bruce Calbreath officiated, and burial was in Oakhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George Brunskill, Harold Cory, Peter Geil, Delbert Hinsch, Elmer Jacob, Donald Pro.
Mrs. Brubaker was born June 30, 1881, at Thompsontown, Pa., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Dimm. She received her education at Thompsontown.
On June 30, 1906, she was married to Park M. Brubaker. Following their marriage they moved to Iowa in 1906, and to Estherville in 1911. He was an engineer on the Rock Island for many years. He died in 1956.
Mrs. Brubaker was a longtime member of the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. L. G. Peterson (Arlene) of Dearborn, Mich.; two granddaughters, Nancy of Alameda, Calif., and Mrs. Robert Hongen of Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, a brother, and several half brothers and sisters.
