Services Held for Richard Brown
Richard Brown, 62, died Sunday at the Valley Vue Nursing Home at Armstrong of a heart attack. He was born Nov. 25, 1907, in Jackson to Granville and Olive Brown. As a small child he moved to Estherville with his parents where he received his education.

He is survived by three brothers, Grant of Estherville, Morton of Hawthorne, Calif., and Ernest of Hot Springs, S.D.; and six sisters, Mrs. Herman Zerke, Mrs. Ben Ewell, Estherville; Mrs. John Petersen, Mrs. Paul Pellner of Charles City; Mrs. Vivian Van Valkenberg of Omaha, Neb.; and Mrs. Elmer Oelkers, Dunnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Reese-Henry Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Fogelman officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 8, 1970)
