Rites Set for Resident of Estherville
Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Brown, 65, Estherville, are to be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Fuhrman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Rev. Rawlin Johnson officiating at the services. Mrs. Brown died Friday about 6:30 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital.

Pallbearers will be Leland Case, Nolan Boggess, Arthur Fossum, Robert D. Kinnard, Sam Torrence and Ora W. Brown.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

Formerly Lillian Ringham, she was born Aug. 15, 1906, in Estherville, the daughter of Bringle and Barbara Ringham. She received her education in the Estherville schools and was married Jan. 14, 1922, to Ray Brown. The couple was married at Jackson.

Mr. Brown was a rural mail carrier, having served patrons on both Routes 1 and 2. He died in 1966.

Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Patricia Brown and Mrs. M. F. (Dorothy) Barrett, both of Estherville; a brother, M. R. (Pete) Ringham of Estherville and a sister, Mrs. William (Emma) Hogen of Porterville, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, two sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 28, 1968)
