Mr. Brown attempted to jump but was caught under the car and killed instantly, his neck being broken. The body was brought to the home of his mother, Mrs. O. J. Brown, in Estherville and his wife and children at Minneapolis notified of his death.Funeral was held from the Baptist church in this city Monday afternoon and interment made in Oak Hill cemetery.
Joe B. Brown was a son of Mrs. O. J. Brown and came to Emmet county with his parents in 1891. He was born at Brookville, Adams county, Iowa, and was thirty-eight years, six months and nineteen days of age at the time of his death. He was married November 16, 1898, to Emily C.
